Christmas Day

Robby woke me up earlier than usual on Christmas morning and we opened our stockings together. This was my first time ever opening stockings. Growing up, my family always had stockings as decoration on the mantel, but there were never anything inside. I quite like this idea of having more gifts in my stocking! Robby surprised me with tons of my favorite candy bars PLUS Smarties (no, not the American kind, it's this kind) and KETCHUP CHIPS that he ordered from Canada. He's so sweet.
We went to Church for Sacrament before heading to Meag's to eat leftovers and open presents. I can't begin to describe in words how the opening of presents on Christmas Day unfolded. Pictures are going to do a much better job. All I can say is that the kids got a ridiculous amount of presents from their Tutu!
 And lots of kisses too!
Meagan REALLY wanted Phill's envelope (:
Robby gave Ollie his old drum set and for Christmas we got him a new pair of drumsticks. Meg obviously loved her new nail polish!
We got Waika Transformers lego and for Malia, a new Tangled doll. JJ could not sit still for 2 seconds for us to take a picture.
Isn't Maizie's new vest adorable?? While we were out shopping one day, we found this sweet Element t-shirt that says "LISTEN TO BOB". Someone said that it only works if he's wearing the t-shirt. Dad wore it almost everyday after Christmas. Haha!
Phill gave Robby a huge pot (we desperately needed one), a meat tenderizer, and a copy of their family recipe book. I got a pair of lovely boots from Missy. Thank you guys! We love our presents and we love you both!
I got Meags something from Victoria Secret...just kidding. 2 pairs of jeans from American Eagle!

My awesome husband bought me a Coach wallet and a pretty case for my new Kindle Fire (a present from my mommy). I got him a new coat from the Gap, a pair of cords, and a REALLY good-looking tie.
We got tons more other stuff, but we don't want to brag. (:

Merry Christmas! Hope you all got everything you wanted!

'Tis the Night Before Christmas

The morning of Christmas Eve, the smell of bacon lured me to the kitchen where my cute husband surprised me with this!
That evening, we headed to Missy's to celebrate Christmas Eve with the whole family. Mai, Marly, Waika, Mom, and Dad sacrificed warm weather and flew from Hawaii to be with us.
Dinner was so delicious as usual. Meagan made my favorite thing in the world (HAM, if you don't already know), Phil made delicious garlic butter green beans, Marly made baked beans, Joe made a yummy, juicy turkey, and Robby & I made potato salad. Needless to say, we had more than enough food...as usual. (:
After dinner, the whole family acted out the Nativity. We didn't have the costumes that Meagan made, so we improvised--very creatively, I might add.
Here's Robby, our angel with a tin foil halo...and Shaun, the new star. Duh.
Little Maizie as Baby Jesus (:
 The 3 Shepherds
Joe & Malia were Joseph & Mary and JJ, Ollie, and Waika did a great job as the 3 Wise Men.
Marly and Mia prepared some AWESOME games for us after the Nativity. My favorite was definitely this one right here! The goal was to get the cookie from your forehead into your mouth without using your hands. Too funny.
Thanks everyone for a great night. We love you all!

Family Calendar 2012

When Robby and I started dating, I realized how many fun traditions his family has. One of them is making a family calendar with photos and memories from the previous year. Meags, the creative mastermind behind this project has been doing it for the Wai family since 2001. This was our second year making it for my family for Christmas. It's super time consuming to make, but the results are worth it!

Music, Sandwiches, Cupcakes & Fondue!

A little while before Christmas, we had a little party at our place. I love spending time with these girls! Love them. We ate the night away as usual with strawberry cupcakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, corn chowder, salad, and FONDUE. And of course some music and singing to finish off the night.
Tuna cans can be more useful than they appear.

BYU vs. Utah

Two Saturdays ago, we went to a BYU vs. Utah game at the U with Jordan and Amanda, and we got to see Keilani for the first time! Mom, I know you're jealous.
She was such a doll throughout the entire game despite how loud it got in the stadium.
Tiff was wearing RED when we went to pick her up. We made her change.
We beat Utah 61-42!
And of course we stopped at Gossip on the way back home!

Christmas Party @ the Casey's

A night of gingerbread making attempts, Timbre's delicious soups, YouTube videos, and Who's Smarter than a 5th Grader. Shanelia, Timbre, and I found out that we're way smarter than the boys!
Thanks Caseys for always having us over!
