Group Date!

Our attempt to go tubing at Soldier Hollow turned into an afternoon of frolicking on a frozen lake due to unfavorable snow conditions. Wish they would've told us when we called to make reservations before we drove all the way up there. The lake was fun though!

Kiele's 1st Birthday Party

Robby and I were invited to celebrate Kiele's first birthday at Dane&Leo's chapel on Saturday. They did such a good job decorating and the food was so good! Robby must've stuffed himself silly. The best part though? The Pane'es were at the party! As soon as I walked into the gym, I saw a Malakai look-alike.

Me: Robby! That kid looks JUST like Malakai!!!
Robby: Haha. Yeah he does, but you know it's not him.
Me: I know...

We walked further into the gym and at the first table, I saw Jordan's mom holding a Eli look-alike. So by now I was kinda freaking out. Turns out I wasn't crazy. Jordan, Amanda, and the kids had made the drive all the way from Seattle to come to Kiele's party. It was so good to see everyone!

Valentine of Roses

So little did I know that "Valentine's Day" was going to last all week. Robby said he felt bad that we couldn't go out for dinner on February 14 (because I had a class until 8:30), so he decided to do something for me everyday until Friday when we could go out for a nice dinner. It was all him--I never asked him to! He even created a "theme" around roses which he made me guess at the end before he gave me my last present.

February 15
I made us strawberry yogurt parfaits in the morning for breakfast.
He one upped me that evening with my favorite raspberry cheesecake from Olive Garden and a sweet card with pictures of roses on it.
February 16
He surprised me after work with a dog from Build-a-Bear named Baxter who was holding...roses!
 February 17
Friday finally rolled around, and again, he surprised me by taking me out to La Jolla Groves at Riverwood. It was a first for both of us and we both really enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

As soon as we sat down, he made me guess what his carefully thought out "theme" was. Believe it or not, it took me a little while to guess! But when I did, he pulled out a red box. Inside was a "rose"-gold watch that I've been wanting for a while. I'd say he's a pretty darn sweet guy who spoils me WAY too much.
Our food came shortly after and everything was delicious.
Thanks for a sweet Valentine's sweetheart!

So Much LOVE

This morning, Robby's alarm went off at six o'clock in the morning. SIX o'clock! We usually wake up at eight. I remember grumbling irritably and him telling me to go back to sleep. I guess I wasn't too hard to convince because next thing I know, I was waking up to a delicious Portuguese sausage and egg breakfast. Came with flowers and a balloon too! That's not all. My beautiful friend Stephanie sent me a box of custom designed chocolates too! I am too lucky.
How adorable are these?!?! Thanks Stephy! Love you!
As soon as Robby left for work, I got to work on these treats. They were so fun to make and they turned out looking pretty decent!
I love you sweetie. You make me so happy every single day.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

The Start of a Modeling Career

No. Not really.

BUT! Robby got a really cool experience the other day. After church last Sunday, a man in front of us turns around and said, "I saw you (Robby) walking in and thought you look like a missionary." We were a little confused. He went on to say that he works for the Church up in Salt Lake and is currently working on creating a new, more updated version of the missionary handbook. He was looking for Asians/Polynesians to be in the handbook, so he asked if Robby would be interested in coming in for a photoshoot. Robby was really skeptical and about to decline until the guy mentioned that Robby would be getting paid to do the shoot. Heck yes.

Since we would be driving up to Salt Lake, we used this opportunity to eat out at Mo' Bettah Steaks!
He said it was awkward, but he looked so natural! Haha! I'm disappointed that I didn't catch any pictures of him in his casual jeans and shirt.
BAM. My husband is a model.

Dining In

Wow it's been a while! Almost forgot we have a blog. Last week, we were busy...grocery shopping and cooking. With all the eating out during the Christmas/New Year holiday, we were becoming extremely spoiled and it sort of became a habit. It was very much appreciated while it lasted. At one point in January we were eating out 4 or 5 times a week. Yeah, our wallet naturally could not handle it anymore, so we decided to make some changes. With a little help from pinterest, here's what we ate for dinner last week:

Sunday: Batayaki
Monday: We can't be perfect okay! We ate out on Monday.
Tuesday: Mushroom Soup & Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
 Wednesday: Baked Salmon
Thursday: Seasoned T-Bone Steak with...Bok Choy?!?!
 Friday: Yakisoba
I'd say we did pretty good, wouldn't you? Let's just see how long this'll last...
